Private and voluntary sector Gender Pay Gap reporting approved by Parliament
- 7th February 2017
- by Anthony Horrigan
On the 6th of February legislation was passed by Parliament which will require organisations with over 250 employees to report on their gender pay gap data every year. As a minimum these employers must provide six pieces of data including: gender pay and gender bonus gaps along with proportions of men and women who receive a bonus and a breakdown of the percentages of men and women in each salary quartile.
As we draw closer to the first reporting date of 5 April 2017, we expect the Government to issue more complete guidance for organisations. Our aim is to simplify the process and provide context and narrative in order to increase the value of the report.
