The number of companies reporting their gender pay gap is growing each day, with a marked increase since the beginning of October. To help organisations track how the gender pay gap reporting position is changing month to month, we’ve produced the Gender Pay Gap Pulse Report that we will issue on a monthly basis. In it you will find:

  • charts illustrating the performance by sector across the key GPG metrics
  • commentary on where the biggest gaps lie by sector
  • examples of good reporting practice and where organisations are missing PR opportunities
  • a summary of high profile news stories relating to GPG and associated issues such as equal pay and diversity and inclusiveness

The headlines as at 10 October are:

  • just over 1% of companies have reported so far
  • the overall gender pay gap on a median basis is 10.4%
  • financial services and insurance has the biggest pay gap at 31.0%
